SMSF Establishment

Once the decision is made to establish a self-managed super fund (SMSF), trustees are appointed. These trustees resolve to operate the SMSF in accordance with the superannuation law and the Trust Deed of the SMSF on behalf of members. Documentation of set-up and operations is a legal requirement; this may include minutes of meetings, completion of ATO registration forms and applications, and death benefit nominations for each member. YML Super Solutions prepares all documentation required to establish a compliant SMSF.

Bank and Investment Account set-up

Every SMSF requires a bank account held in the name of the corporate trustee. This account acts as the cash hub into which, and from which, all funds flow. Our tailored investment advice typically includes the holding of listed securities, so we also assist in setting up a cost effective broker account in the name of the SMSF.

Super Rollovers

Chances are you have more than one super account from past employers. Once the SMSF is fully established, it can receive money from your other super accounts. YML Super Solutions consolidates super from all your accounts and rolls the super funds into your new SMSF. We can also recover any lost super you have.

Provide and Implement an Investment and Risk Strategy

The formulation and implementation of an investment strategy is a key responsibility for an SMSF trustee. This strategy provides the trustees with a framework for making and maintaining investments, and it is crucial to tailor the strategy to the specific circumstances of the fund. We understand SMSF members’ financial goals and designing an investment strategy around these goals is part of our service.

Members Risk Management

The fund’s investment strategy must consider not just investment risks, but also the risks of illness, disability or death to members. Our tailored investment strategies are mindful of personal risk, and recommendations will be included in our tailored strategies.

Borrowto Buy Property

Self-managed super funds are able to borrow funds to buy residential or commercial property. Banks generally may allow up to 80% borrowing for residential properties and 65% for commercial properties. We provide our clients with advice on requirements, ensuring that all transactions are completed in accordance with the latest SMSF borrowing legislation. We provide advice on issues such as overall investment strategies, risks of taking on debt within an SMSF,cash flow of the fund, and diversification.

Portfolio Management and Reporting

Our investment advisory service provides portfolio advice to our SMSF investors. As part of your overall investment strategy you will be able to obtain investments in direct shares, bonds, cash, term-deposits, property and other alternative investments. We also provide services to construct a portfolio, which will take into account your investment preferences as well as your risk tolerance.

Administration

YML Super Solutions covers all administration required to effectively run your SMSF. Whether your SMSF is in accumulation or in pension, we work with external service providers or directly with you to carry out all activities required. We ensure the smooth and compliant administration of your fund.

Audit and Tax Reporting

After our highly experienced accounting team have completed the SMSF financial report and prepared the accounts for submission to the ATO, our SMSF auditor in Bondi, Sydney will audit the fund, ensuring that all tax reporting is provided in compliance with legislative requirements. YML Super Solutions provides a whole solution service for your SMSF.
